MAT bikes
Vélo MAT is a self-service electric bike scheme, available 24/7 to make your daily journeys easier.
The scheme comprises around 120 bikes spread across some twenty stations throughout the city, offering a simple and eco-friendly alternative to the car for short journeys.
How does it work?
- Bikes can be hired via the mobile app or a compatible card.
- One bike per account per journey.
- A pre-authorisation hold is placed on your card when you start your journey and is released once you’ve finished using the bike.
- Unlock the bike by scanning the QR code at the station.
Prices:
30-minute journey: €1.40
Monthly subscription (unlimited 30-minute journeys): €6/month or €3/month for under-26s
Beyond 30 minutes, the user (whether a one-off user or a subscriber) must pay €0.10 per additional minute at the end of the journey.
How to use the service?
1. Create a Vélo MAT user account on the app or website
2. Unlock the bike using a smartphone or a KorriGo card topped up in advance via your user account
3. Press the left brake to release the bike
4. Return the bike to a station at the end of the row. Ensure the front and rear magnets on the bike frame are properly engaged.
Please note: Bikes are not permitted on buses.
